~Re-Opening of a Shop & Some Summer Fun!~

Grand Re-Opening of my little spot at The Waxhaw Antique Mart!! I will dig around for the extra time for this little shop right in my home town!! One of the most charming nostaglic places to visit when you are in town!! Ms Betty the owner, a true gem!! When she came a calling that she had a spot for me I could not resist any longer to head on back. For all of you that are local you have to check out the charm this little place has to offer!

For all my regular customers, I am back...... so head on back in for a visit!!

It is still a work in progress but within the next week it should be exploding at the seems with some great JUNK!!

Lots of little goodies to fill my new little spot!!
This Turquoise Chippy Cabinet too die for ....... it is available in my booth at The Sleepy Poet!
OMG the next project!!! The Yard......this is what has kept me from blogging n a regular basis! We had been a court battle over this house for over 6 LOOONG years, the day we were to pick the Jurors the previous ownwers decided to settle!!! So after 6 years of a yard that has flooded into our foundation and washed half the property away we finally are on the way to fixing her back up!! In the middle of the project we ( really me) decided to have this little project installed...I know the contractors love me!! At some point the pool will be surrounded in stone & beautiful sod grass ( I think I am more excited about pretty grass) to cover the entire front and back of the property!! How redneck does this look?? The Mudd and sand will not keep me from missing the opportunity of a sunny Summer day!! I flip flop it to the edge of the pool to keep the mudd and sand off the toes then hop in. I will post completion pics more than likely to be September!! I have been told that the 2nd worse thing to building a house is having a pool installed..... we have did both and I agree!!!

Thanks for taking a peek, now I am back out to the pool for some more relaxation!! I think I may have found a diversion from Junkin on my day off!! (But only for one day!!) Blessings, Janna

Hi Janna, I missed something... I didn't know you didn't have your booth. Huh, anyway, we have a pool. This is the second one. The first one was built after the house and the second was built at the same time! I agree that it is a task to get everything just right but oh what a wonderful thing to have! Enjoy your pool and your new booth:)

Good luck at your new/old space!

I know you have got some great junk to fill up this space...heck you could probably fill up 10 spaces with cool stuff!
I can totally picture the pool finished out. Redneck or not....it's still cooler than dry ground!

Well at least it looks like you do have cool water to jump in......and this Summer that's so needed with this ongoing, oppressive heat! It will look fab when landscaped I'm certain.

Just don't know how you manage to keep so many places stocked with such great junk Janna - you are like a whirlwind! I must get down this Fall, meanwhile I'm off to Calif. Friday for a last Summer blast at a beautiful lake!

Yes, that's my porch and I really need to work on sprucing it up when I get back, it's just been too hot to do much outside this season - in fact I need to work on several areas including a living room makeover too!

You go girl!!
Hugs - Mary

So happy for the re-opening of your booth -- I wish you much success! As for the yard, it does look like quite the undertaking, but I think in the long run you'll be glad you interrupted things to install that pool. It looks wonderful -- enjoy!

You have the most awesomest junk. Wish I lived closer. I'd be a frequent visitor for sure!
The pool is going to be wonderful. too bad you've had to deal with all the flooding though. Soon, you'll be sipping iced tea and you can forget about all the struggles you've gone through to get there.
Blessings~ Birgit

Your booth looks great already. wish I lived closed and could drop by. We have a pool, and I don't know what we ever did without it. My husband and I laid 15 pallets of pavers stones ourselves to finish the patio and retaining wall around the pool. Whew, but turned out great. I can picture yours with landscape complete. Have fun!

I am your newest follower! I live on the coast of NC near Emerald Isle. My husband has family in Waxhaw. We haven't been there in a few years but its so charming there. I have found out about some great shops in the area and am going to try and convince my hubby to go on a road trip! An old friend from high school recently moved to Concord too. Would love to stop at the Mill.
