~Me & my Hubby out Junkin on the 4th...~

BEGINNERS....that is the word for the day. My dear husband wanted to head out Junkin' today. I asked if he was sure, "Yes he said I have not been to that place in a while." It was Hot, he was hungry and I was cranky! When you take a man with you shopping there comes a ? with everything.... So he is still in the Beginners Dept... he is my best buddie and we always have a ton of laughs....at each others expense of course! I am in love with my Sign find of the day (and my Sweetie)!! They may both be Keepers? We did find quite a few Rusty Crusty Chippy treasures on our 4th of July Junk hunt and a handful of new secret junk spots too .... ~New items and Junk Jewels going to The Sleepy Poet Sunday July 5th!!~

Looty, loot, loot, I liking it all alot... That Rusty Chair about threw poor Scott for a loop, he just kept saying, "You ain't going to really get that are ya, that thing is going to have to sit outside when you get it home"... Yes, Yes, Yes I am getting it, and I actually really did leave it outside in hopes the rain we are supposed to be getting tonight will give it a good wash down. Poor hubby may be on my Re-funked Junk blog by Monday For Sale. I love him, but oh my, he was a treat today!

I can not believe I found another one of these old dressers. I had one just like it a month back, put it in the booth and it was gone in a few days. I was irritated that I had to pay a little more for it than I wanted. The little man said, "Now Honey, that is late 1890's Cottage style." Yes, I know and I am mad I have to pay you that for it cause I gotta have it!!!! Fingers crossed the second will sell like the first!

I have had my eye on that Old Rusty Box for months, it was from our first stop before we hit the road to head out of town. It has been sitting in the same place in an old junk field full of water forever. Poor Scott still in Junker training was just bewildered that I was getting that piece of crap, you would have thought it was a million dollars and it was only $1!! Ladies... he still has a way to go to be a real junker!

MOOOOO, this is the only pic I took of the road trip today... I had my camera there and ready but I was yapping the entire time like always. This is not the best pic but it was in the sun and not to mention I climbed right up on the fence to try to get him to come closer, electric fence, didn't see it... shocked the crap right out of myself. But this big old Bull had the prettiest long lashes, just look at em, he kept wiggling those ears around so funny.

Now we are done for the weekend... no more junkin for a while (a week if I can make it). The garage is packed and stacked. I am going to now settle in to watch the Daytona race!! Yes, I am a Southern Born and Bread Nascar Girl too!!! Happy 4th to all, Blessings, Janna

I like the sign "beginners department"! And, I like old things, too. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind comment. It's hard losing a pet. I did some research on anesthesia on dogs and now I would have looked at other options. If only we would be told about these things beforehand. I think the "death from trauma" is a cop-out. I found out my Jack had a seizure after waking up from the procedure and they didn't tell us until it was too late. Also found out, they had left him unattended all night after the procedure, knowing he had the seizure. Nothing can bring him back, so I must leave it in God's hands to keep my anger in control.
Anyway, you got some great "junk" there.

Oh Janna! I love your fun day. Cracked me up over your hubby. The electric fence memory will stay with you FOREVER. lololol My hubby learned when he was a little boy to never ever not ever pee on an electric fence either. heeheehaahaahoohoo
I LOVE that rusty chair you got!
They sell new ones at Lowes now adays but everything is so FLIMSY compared to "back in THE DAY!"
I SURE wish I lived in your area so I could see your booth. You are a TIQUE N FLEA QUEEN that's for sure. I'd dumpster dive with you any day. lol

Funny how husbands don't understand a little rust for character on a piece for furniture! Mine keeps threatening to throw out a small round metal 1960s garden side table I bought a couple of years ago. It's now in our garden--cute, functional, and not doing him any harm :) Congrats on a good day of junking!
