My little corner of the world... I was not able to get close ups of it all due to the morning sun beaming into the front windows. I have it packed and stacked as you can see! I just went today and loaded it down with new finds and my Vintage Junk Pendants!!
Look at those old wood floors, the Mart was created from the old General Store that was here years and years ago. This is one of the most elegant Antique shops we have around! The rented shelves line the walls and go from floor to ceiling...probably 15 feet up. That is alot of space to pack full for $55 dollars a month!! The center of the shop is lined with booths full of floor space.
What Waxhaw is most famous for....trains, it tracks and the grand old walk across bridge...now... I did not take this picture... but it is a good one. I had to borrow it from our towns photos, isn't it great??
Next on the stop we have Bella Dimora Furnishings, this store is a show stopper and her window designs will knock your socks off, click on the hyper link above to visit her website for all my blogger gals who can't get here in person, she has some fabulous pieces!!
OK, this is one of my favorite buildings in Waxhaw... too die for cute isn't it?? Waxhaw Art & Chocolate, the name says it all. But they are only open on Fridays and Saturdays for those that plan to visit.
Tucked back on one of the sidestreets across from Waxhaw Art & Chocolate you will find the Inlet Surfshop, is this place too cute or wha?? Anything from flip flops to surf gear packs the inside, makes you feel like you are right on the island! And I did not get a picture but acorss from the surf shop is the local Pottery and Art Gallery!!
One of Waxhaws newest additions is The Quilting Nook, just look at all of that material awaiting... and believe me this shop is hopping with customers everytime I go by.
More of Waxhaws Local Antique Shops & Burch Studios, definitely somthing for every taste, this place is a super cool shop, from handmade wood furniture to one- of- a- kind works of art this place has it... and on most weekend evenings you will hear a guitar or bluegrass band behind the shops at out local Coffee House!!
As always I really do appreciate you stopping by and leaving you inspring comments. If you are close by, you have gotta get out and visit all the little quaint little shops that line our downtown area and side streets. Don't forget to grab a bite of Latte at the local cafes or coffee houses. This is truly one of the cutest little towns we have left. Instead of heading out of town to shop just come back to downtown and rediscover what you may have missed!! Thanks for taking the tour....Please come visit if you are local, we'll be glad to see ya!! Make sure to go over to my Re-Funked Junk For Sale blog and check out my Vintage Junk Jewel creations!! Make sure to become a follower of it as well!! Blessings, Janna

What a quaint town! I would love to visit some day.
If I lived close by, I'd be there in a hurry! Amazing that we were thinking the same things about small towns and the economy. I just posted some pictures about my visit to St. Michael's, Maryland, yesterday. Some shops and restaurants have been closing. I love that town and wanted to help--I spent money and now I'm spreading the word! Thanks for sharing Waxhaw with we bloggers.
i live in a small town also, maybe someday i'll visit yours :) as i am always going far & wide for bargains :)gio
My favorite kind of shopping...I just wish I could have found joy in it when my grandma was still alive, she loved it and I just did not get it then. Wanted to welcome you to my blog and to say don't be a stranger.
I Love your little town and it would be awesome to visit and shop til I dropped!!!
How's the chocolate there?!
Happy
Weekend!
Deb :)

Your town looks so quaint I wish I could come down and stroll the streets. I don't get out much these days...the shop is my world.

I'm in L-O-V-E! You just earned Waxhaw some tourist $'s!

Oh I was blessed a couple of months back to visit your little town & the little chop where you & Beth have your things. It truly is a charming little town, just as you said with the tracks across the road.
What a charming place. Oh and I love your new pendants!
Very fun place to visit. Thanks for the tour. Your booth looked great. Simple, but blended so well.
Blessings,
Barbara Jean
Thanks for sharing your hometown with us! I am a former Main Street Director, I KNOW first hand the importance of supporting hometown merchants! Great pics!
Hi Jann
I didn't know you and Beth had space in Waxhaw too. You two really get around! I've only been there once when I went to the Quilt shop but we were in a hurry so didn't have time to look in any other shops. I'll have to make a trip out there sometime soon.
Art and Chocolate is a fascinating little place. They used to offer free samples of chocolate, but now I think the reserve that for the spring and fall festivals and special busy days.
Anyway, I never understood why there was a surf shop in Waxhaw of all places, and now it's out of business.
Thanks for writing about Waxhaw. I've featured the town on my blog quite often, but then, I don't get that much traffic.
